Kinale—Battle of the Tsetse

2022 has been one of the hottest years I’ve experienced in a long time. So hot that Limuru reached 30°C in February, yet I’d chosen to hike there to escape the heat! I can only imagine what those who chose to do the deadly Gicheru trail went through. March rolled around and I sought solace from the blazing sun by heading to the forest. Little did I know the surprises that nature had for us there.
